How close your relation is with that someone who has been the target of such rumor? It is a mischievous thing that can welcome destruction. People who come to know that there is something going on or being spread about them fear to face it. If you believe that it isn’t the truth about you then why feel scared to come forward and sometimes it is not even important to give any kind of explanation about the topic spread. People have their own thoughts and level of intelligence to think what is right or what could have been the situation. If they cannot spend a bit of their common sense, there is no need to waste your time behind such made up stories. Solving them is not your responsibility. If you fear what people would think about you then what will be left for them to do? They are free individuals on earth to think of what you are and what do you do in life. Feel privileged to have such humans in your life. Feel in ways that yes there so many who value your existence. It is good even if it is in a wrong way, we would have something to laugh at.
People spread rumors only when they are jealous and intimidated by you that they have only negative things about you to talk. People are quick to believe bad things about good people irrespective of how good you knew that person earlier. Remember one thing; the people who spread rumors to you will soon spread something about you too. Spreaders have small minds, unsuccessful lives filled with jealousy and they feel proud that they are ones who know about everyone around them and can make anyone the talk of the town. One day even you can become the topic and you wouldn’t even know.
Shut the mouths of spreaders and believe in the true bond with the person. Ignore what people say until you have discussed with that person about the fake statements. Have the guts to tell them that I believe in the person you are talking about and dare you, they will never approach again for gossip.
